New Stat on DiabloProgress: Elemental Damage

If your skill has cooldown or high resource costs, then DPS is not as important as single hit Damage.

Now you can see your Elemental Damage value on your hero page.

And there are also Elemental Damage Rankings too.

- Elemental Damage includes your elemental bonuses of course

- for dual wield characters Elemental Damage calculated as average of the weapons damage values.

P.S.
This feature is beta, please report if you see wrong values.

One question here. It seems to me that the "elemental Dps" calculates the dps effect of a single element, not the combined damage of multiple elements, if any are present on the character.

Let me elaborate. Say a char has +%50 Fire damage (which seems to be the most common), but also +%10 arcane damage.

Let's also say the chars fire skill deals %200 weapon dmg, and the arcane skill would deal %600 weapon damage.

In this case, how is the char's elemental dps calculated? It seems very likely to me that a char which deals 800k dps and barely makes a solo t3 rift can be ranked much higher than another who can pull off a t6 rift, solely because of his "fire dmg" bonus. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Your Elemental Damage depends on the skill. If you use a Fire skill, the damage will be Fire. It will benefit from your Fire Damage Bonus, but not from Arcane Damage Bonus, so in this case it will be 600% weapon damage.

DiabloProgress assumes that your gear is optimized for your skills and takes highest bonus, it if you have +50% Fire and +10% Arcane, the multiplier will be +50%

Is it possible for you to add a ranking search/sorting for different elemental damage? i.e Fire/Arcane/Poison, etc? Its really hard to find people within the ranking for your actual "build" to see who got the max

there has to be an error with the #1 ranked guy...

he has decent gear, no doubt. but it's by far not good enough to beat the second highest dps wizard by 25%, it seems he somehow managed to get his harrington dps into his profile. probably not your fault, maybe u could calculate real dps on this site, instead of taking the bugged stuff blizzard profiles offer. oh well, with the bugged sources/mojos dmg, it would get even worse :(

@tr1 no there is no such thing, i asked for that a lot already, we should spam every news with that request :p
i believe this will get fixed, soon, since kernel isn't fire, either ;)

Well you can see it on every profile here, so why not just make a "sorted ranking by type"? Seems like a pretty easy thing to code or am i wrong?

Seems like Battle.net Profile DPS is bugged there somehow.

Can you please add all dmg modifiers for damage calculator? For example Pierce the Veil for WD 20% DMG should be great

Is there anyway to add the summary of total +Attack Speed in the profile?

Something that would be a really great addition is also taking +skill damage % into account much like elemental and elite damage. There are quite a few builds where that is a key part.

I think this is very important to add due to the skill dmg taking away one of the 4 primary attributes you can have on your items.

At the bottom of the DPS calculator, there is the 1% of each stat type will add x-amount to dps. This seems wrong because after adding in a few points for the various paragon stats the value goes up instead of down. Eg. From my page 1.00% Critical Hit Chance gives you 12,372.68 dps. So I add 10% to this field and ->1.00% Critical Hit Chance gives you 14,025.83 dps. Adding stats should in turn reduce the impact a stat has right? Not increase?

Yes, there was a mistake, I've updated the calculator.

By the way, when Crit Hit Chance goes up, its absolute value remains the same (if the other stats remain the same). In your case it should be 12,372.68 no matter whether it's 1% or 10%. Its relative value is goes down though, as total DPS is going up.

You can check the calculation using in-game Sheet DPS. Reset paragon bonuses, active and passive damage buffs, dismiss follower. Then try change crit hit chance in paragon bonuses and notice DPS difference.
You can also verify Elemental DPS predicted by DPS calculator if you multiply your in-game sheet DPS by % Elemental bonus.

Where did profile DPS ranking go? We have rankings for every stat on the sheet but for some reason Profile DPS is now missing. I've only made it my goal in RoS to try to get world top 20, and i was making decent progress on it too.

Elemental Damage is not working correctly with elite bonus on some items.
Furnace Elite + Damage is not calculated correctly

Please add a elemental sort mechanism. For example, I want to see the strongest Ice Sorc in the world, or the strongest Lightning Crusader, Poison Witch Doctor in Europe, Asia and the world.
