New Stat on DiabloProgress: Elemental Damage
10 years ago
If your skill has cooldown or high resource costs, then DPS is not as important as single hit Damage.
Now you can see your Elemental Damage value on your hero page.
And there are also Elemental Damage Rankings too.
- Elemental Damage includes your elemental bonuses of course
- for dual wield characters Elemental Damage calculated as average of the weapons damage values.
P.S.
This feature is beta, please report if you see wrong values.
Let me elaborate. Say a char has +%50 Fire damage (which seems to be the most common), but also +%10 arcane damage.
Let's also say the chars fire skill deals %200 weapon dmg, and the arcane skill would deal %600 weapon damage.
In this case, how is the char's elemental dps calculated? It seems very likely to me that a char which deals 800k dps and barely makes a solo t3 rift can be ranked much higher than another who can pull off a t6 rift, solely because of his "fire dmg" bonus. Correct me if I'm wrong.
DiabloProgress assumes that your gear is optimized for your skills and takes highest bonus, it if you have +50% Fire and +10% Arcane, the multiplier will be +50%

he has decent gear, no doubt. but it's by far not good enough to beat the second highest dps wizard by 25%, it seems he somehow managed to get his harrington dps into his profile. probably not your fault, maybe u could calculate real dps on this site, instead of taking the bugged stuff blizzard profiles offer. oh well, with the bugged sources/mojos dmg, it would get even worse :(
@tr1 no there is no such thing, i asked for that a lot already, we should spam every news with that request :p
i believe this will get fixed, soon, since kernel isn't fire, either ;)
By the way, when Crit Hit Chance goes up, its absolute value remains the same (if the other stats remain the same). In your case it should be 12,372.68 no matter whether it's 1% or 10%. Its relative value is goes down though, as total DPS is going up.
You can check the calculation using in-game Sheet DPS. Reset paragon bonuses, active and passive damage buffs, dismiss follower. Then try change crit hit chance in paragon bonuses and notice DPS difference.
You can also verify Elemental DPS predicted by DPS calculator if you multiply your in-game sheet DPS by % Elemental bonus.
Furnace Elite + Damage is not calculated correctly
